This paper will explore resonant and dissonant API symbols and rituals that cross borders, transmute and transmit spiritual meaning and empowerment, assist or resist the process of creative cultural integration (not assimilation) in the North American context. An initial work in progress, this will be consultative as well as informative, drawing on the participants’ reflections on their spirituality.
